Curaçao is a small island country located in the southern Caribbean Sea, just off the north coast of Venezuela. It is part of the Lesser Antilles, a group of islands that form an arc between the Greater Antilles and South America.

Geographically, Curaçao is situated in the southwestern Caribbean, approximately 40 miles (64 kilometers) north of the Venezuelan coast. It is one of the three constituent countries that make up the Kingdom of the Netherlands, alongside Aruba and the Netherlands itself. The island is known for its diverse culture, vibrant architecture, and beautiful beaches.

Curaçao has a total land area of approximately 171 square miles (444 square kilometers) and a population of around 160,000 people. Its capital city is Willemstad, which is also the largest city and the main port of the island. Willemstad is renowned for its colorful Dutch colonial architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
